Man with terminal brain cancer ran in half marathon

PLEASURE ISLAND - A group of runners ran a half marathon this morning. 

They crossed the Martin Luther King bridge in Port Arthur into Pleasure Island.

The group of runners crossed the bridge that is also known as the Pleasure Island Bridge for the sports society for American health run.

The event drew scores of runners.

The runners included Iram Leon who ran pushing his young daughter in a stroller.

Leon, who is from Austin, has terminal brain cancer.

Leon won the Gusher Marathon back in March.

Organizers say they are pleased with today's turn out.

As far as today's winners, Ryan Kelly won the half marathon with a time of one hour and 17 minutes.

In the kid's run, 8-year-old Zethan pierce won the race with a time of one hour and 55 minutes.
