Judge looking to serve another term

A judge who has held the same seat for more than two decades wants to hold onto it for another term.

Judge Donald Floyd has presided over the 172nd court since he was appointed by former governor Bill Clements in 1989.

Judge Floyd also served on the Jefferson County Court at law number three bench. He was the first judge on that court when it was created in the early 1980's.

He told KFDM News he enjoys serving the people of Jefferson County.
The Republican and Democratic primaries are in March of next year.
