Update: Arrest made in suspicious death case

UPDATE: By Justin Hinton, KFDM News

Investigators have arrested and charged a woman with the murder of Daniel Lee Dubois, 59, of Port Arthur (pictured).

Investigators originally called the death suspicious and believed foul play was involved after finding the body Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say Gayle Annette Waller, the woman charged with the murder, is the ex-wife of Dubois. She provided information to investigators that led to her arrest.

Sergeant Scott Gaspard with the Port Arthur Police Department tells KFDM News investigators believe Waller stabbed Dubois Oct. 26. He later died, and she continued to live in the house for a week.

A missing report was filed Oct. 31 by his brother, but investigators say he  showed up on Saturday to the home in the 2800 block of Manning to check on Dubois. That's when he discovered Dubois' body.

Police said they believe there was a domestic dispute in the front of the house that led to the stabbing of Dubois. Police said they believe a kitchen knife was used.

Waller was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Her bond is set at $200,000.
