Family and friends remember Vidor girl killed in auto-pedestrian collision

Family and friends are gathering tonight to remember a Vidor teen who was killed along Interstate 10.

Investigators say 14-year-old Sierra Phillips walked into traffic just before 8 p.m. on the Orange County side of the Neches River Bridge.

Investigators say a Houston woman was driving eastbound in the outside lane of the Interstate.

Troopers say the driver could not avoid hitting her.

There will be a gathering of family and friends of Sierra Phillips  at the Nazarene Church in Vidor Tuesday at 6:30.
