Tornado leaves behind damage, no injuries, in Bridge City

A tornado did not cause any injuries in Bridge City but it left behind damage in several neighborhoods.

The National Weather Service confirms it was a tornado that hit the community.

The twister produced winds of about 75 miles an hour and although it moved across the area in minutes it did cause problems that continue today.

Homeowners pulled out chainsaws and other equipment to cut trees and tree limbs the tornado blew down. Some landed near homes and others landed on homes.

Families we spoke with tell us they've seen worse in Southeast Texas. Several thousand people lost power in the storms that hit Southeast Texas yesterday.
