Parents lose parental rights of baby Faith Mason

KFDM News learned Thursday night -- a day after baby Faith Mason was released from the hospital -- that her parents have lost their parental rights.

The three-month-old was released from the hospital on Wednesday into the care of a therapeutic foster home.

The child's mother, Christine Johnson, is charged with injury to a child. Her bond is $250,000.

Her father, 17-year-old Darrell Mason, is charged with 'injury to a child by omission.

His bond is $200,000. Both are in the Jefferson County Jail.

Judge Larry Thorne made the decision to terminate parental rights for Mason and Johnson this morning.

Shari Pulliam with CPS says the next step is to find an adoptive home for the child that can handle her long-term medical needs.
