Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Doctors treating 3-year-old struck by car

PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that injured a three-year-old girl.

Doctors at UTMB in Galveston are treating Jaclyn Andrews for a fractured skull and other injuries.

Her two cousins were playing with her Sunday across the street from the home of Jaclyn's grandmother in the 800 block of East 14th Street in Port Arthur.

The grandmother told KFDM she saw a car coming and told the children to stay where they were. But the relative says Jaclyn walked into the street and was struck.

The driver stopped and police didn't issue a ticket.
