Moisture levels will remain rather high for the next few days with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible.  Some of the heaviest activity will likely be around the end of the week.  With more clouds and scattered showers, temperatures will be cooler for afternoon highs.

Family of couple killed in pileup last Thanksgiving has filed civil lawsuit

The family of a couple killed in the massive pileup on Interstate 10 during Thanksgiving of last year has filed a civil lawsuit in Jefferson County.

That suit on behalf of Debra and Vincent Leggio Senior is going to court this week. Their children are suing the truck driver who ran into the couple's car and the trucking company.

The collision in heavy fog near Hamshire Road injured dozens of people on Thanksgiving of 2012.

The plaintiffs attorney spoke with us today about the civil lawsuit.
Jury selection begins tomorrow in Judge Donald Floyd's court.
