Update: Investigators identify woman run over on Highway 69 in Port Arthur
PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur Police have released the name of a woman who was struck and killed while she was walking in the middle of the Highway 69 feeder road.
Police say Tiffany Nicole Wagner, 24, of Nederland, was killed when the driver of a pickup truck struck her at about 9 p.m. Monday in the 10000 block of Memorial Boulevard. She died at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Investigators say she was wearing dark clothing and walking in the middle of the northbound feeder road when she was struck and killed.
Police are trying to determine why Wagner was walking in the middle of the feeder road. They say the driver who struck Wagner showed no signs of intoxication. Investigators don't expect to file any criminal charges.
