Cold front runs from Central Liberty county to Sabine Pass where a band of tstorms have formed. These are moving southeast. Drier air will continue to filter in this afternoon and tonight. Southerly winds will return Wednesday into Thursday ahead of Friday's system.

Christmas tree recycling begins Thursday

BEAUMONT - You can drop off your live Christmas trees for recycling beginning Thursday in Beaumont.

 

The City has set up three locations for the annual program:

*Magnolia Park, 2855 Magnolia Avenue

*Rogers Park, 1455 Dowlen Road 

*Sprott Park, 4325 Usan Street 

 

 

The City will accept trees through Friday, January 10. They should be free of all decorations and stands. You can also place your tree on the curb and the City will pick it up during regular collection days. Don't bring your tree to the landfill.  Christmas trees, along with other collected yard waste, is converted into mulch. You can collect free mulch every Saturday between 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the landfill, 4955 Laffin Road in Beaumont.
