What is the fate of UT Coach Mack Brown? Staying or leaving?

KFDM News - Depending on which person or website you listen to the University of Texas head football coach Mack Brown is either staying or resigning or waiting for the school to fire him.

Right now the fact of the matter is Brown is still the head coach at UT.

Brown has been rumored to be out at Texas at various times this season,  but buzz about his status really began to heat up following last Saturday's loss to Baylor, which ended the regular season.

On Monday, one internet site reported that Brown was out, but Brown responded while on a recruiting trip in Florida, saying he was still Texas' head coach.

Today, we caught up with Brown's attorney Joe Jamail while he was working on a civil trial in Beaumont.

Jamail offered responded to the rumors surrounding Mack Brown.

Jamail said he doesn't understand how internet sites can spark so many rumors and not be held accountable.

He said the University of Texas president has left the decision up to Mack Brown regarding whether to leave or stay. Jamail said he knows what Brown has decided to do, but he (Jamail) was not at liberty to share Brown's decision with reporters.

In the meantime, Alabama's Nick Saban was in Beaumont today recruiting a high school player.

There are unconfirmed reports that he's been offered a lucrative deal to leave Alabama for the University of Texas.
