Campaign asks people to rethink their drinking

As New Year's Eve parties get underway officials are warning party goers not to drink too much and, of course, not to drink and drive.

The National Institutes of Health has a campaign called "rethinking your drinking."

They take aim at the myths surrounding alcohol consumption like people who say they can "hold their liquor." That type of thinking is dangerous to the body and to others who could become a victim of a drunk driving crash.

Also, health officials say to watch out for mixed drinks. They can contain multiple shots of alcohol, making them equal to two or three drinks instead of one.
