Shooting outside Beaumont nightclub injures two

BEAUMONT- Press Release
Beaumont Police Department

On Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 4:38 AM, Beaumont Police Officers were dispatched to the Club Xclusive, 304 Orleans, Beaumont, in reference to a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found two victims had gone to the hospital by private vehicle.  One victim had gone St.Elizabeth, and the other to Baptist Memorial.

Officers were able to collect the following information from witnesses and victims:  there had been an earlier disturbance in front of the club, which had closed, and which involved the two victims.  There were no witnesses to the actual shooting, but apparently one of the other unknown subjects got into an unknown type vehicle to leave the club, and as he did, he fired several shots at the victims.  One victim was struck in the left cheek, and the other in the left leg just above his ankle.  The shooter then fled the scene.  Neither of the victims could give any information about the shooter or the vehicle.

The face wound victim went to St. Elizabeth and was later transported to Herman Memorial in Houston for reconstructive Plastic surgery.  The other went to surgery at Baptist for the leg wound.  It is believed that neither injury is life threatening at this time.

The investigation will continue, and anyone who may have information about this incident should call the Beaumont Police Department.
