Homeland Security agents and DPS officers search Port Arthur business

PORT ARTHUR - by Lauren Huet

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents and Texas Department of Public Safety officers searched a Port Arthur business today.

Agents served a federal warrant on Tony's Kustom and Kollision in the 6100 block of Gulfway in Port Arthur. Homeland Security agents and DPS officers walked in and out of the business's office and main garage, took pictures, and eventually brought boxes out of the building and loaded them into a van.

Officers say the search began at around 9 a.m. The search was still underway when we left at 2 p.m. During the search, several customers drove up to the business, and were turned away.

An Immigrations and Enforcement Officer (ICE) said the agency can't provide more information, because it's an ongoing investigation. ICE released this statement:

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents and Texas DPS officers are in the process of executing search warrants at 6100 Gulfway Drive. No specific information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

According to an ICE officer, no one has yet been charged with a crime.
