Christmas trees recycled for mulch

BEAUMONT- The city of Beaumont is offering an environmentally friendly way to get rid of Christmas trees through recycling.

Sunday, people brought their trees to Rogers Park. It's one of three drop-off locations the city offers. Magnolia Park on Magnolia Ave. and Sprott Park on Usan St. are also drop-off locations.

The trees will be converted into mulch. People can pick up the free mulch at the city's landfill on Laffin Rd. every Saturday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Trees can be dropped off through Jan. 10th.
