Much warmer air is moving in off the Gulf resulting in rising temperatures. Highs will likely warm into the 70's beginning tomorrow and extending into the weekend. A good coverage of showers and thunderstorms can be expected Saturday as a strong upper level disturbance works in from the west.
School crossing guards bring holiday cheer
Two men are putting smiles on people's faces this Christmas season and what they're doing isn't very complicated: they're waving.
Larry Payne and Thomas Turner are school crossing guards. They put on Santa hats today and waved at drivers on Dowlen road near Westgate.
This was the last day of school before the Christmas break and the men say they wanted to bring a little cheer to not only the kids but to drivers in Beaumont as well.
Larry has been a crossing guard for a long time. Thomas has served in that role the past two years.
