Medical examiner: Newborn found dead at recycling center was a boy

(AP) The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office says the body of a newborn found this week at a San Antonio recycling center was a boy.

The cause and manner of the child's death still aren't available. The child's body was found Monday in a blue duffel bag by a worker sorting items on a conveyor belt at a Waste Management recycling center.

The infant is believed to have been less than 10 days old. Police say if the medical examiner's office determines the child was not stillborn, their investigation could become a capital murder case.
