Salvation Army volunteers bring Christmas cheer with Angel Tree program

BEAUMONT - During this season of giving, the Salvation Army is giving back to the community in a big way.

Volunteers at the Salvation Army in Beaumont helped fill baskets of goodies on Wednesday for families in need.

The Salvation Army expects to help more than 450 families on Wednesday and Thursday by providing food boxes and turkeys.

The organization is also providing gifts for children. It's all part of the Angel Tree program.

You can go to the Salvation Army Social Service Center on 7th Street on Thursday from  9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to take part in the Angel Tree Christmas assistance program.
