Therapy dogs help Lamar Unversity students manage stress

KFDM News - There's plenty to stress this time of year, but some local college students are getting something furry to help them deal with the stress.

Lamar University officials are providing students with therapy dogs to serve as a stress-reliever during final exams.
Paws 4 Love and the Humane Society of Southeast Texas will provide the dogs.

The animals will be in the Gray Library for students this week.

Research shows that petting animals can help lower stress levels, lower blood pressure and improve one's mood.
