Testimony resumes in trial of man charged in connection with death of his girlfriend's daughter
Testimony resumes Wednesday morning in the trial of a 32-year-old man charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend's daughter.
Stephen Odom is charged with injury to a child. Prosecutors say Odom caused injuries that led to the death of a three year old girl.
Jakyra Henderson died in January of 2012. According to Beaumont police the child died from internal bleeding and other complications stemming from her injuries.
Odom is on trial in judge John Stevens' courtroom. Tuesday the jury heard opening arguments and testimony. If convicted Odom could face up to life in prison on one count of injury to a child and up to twenty years on a second count.
