Sleet and snow return to forecast
SOUTHEAST TEXAS - The next winter storm will arrive Tuesday with widespread freezing rain and sleet expected, according to KFDM Chief Meteorologist Greg Bostwick.
Stay with KFDM and kfdm.com for the latest on the winter storm.
Expect ice on bridges, overpasses and roads. We saw the same conditions last Friday into Saturday morning. The wintry mix was responsible for hundreds of accidents in the area.
It appears that a layer of above freezing temperatures will persist at around 5,000 feet which should limit the threat of snow and keep the primary precipitation as freezing rain and sleet-much like last week.
Lows Monday night will be near 30 with highs Tuesday near 32.
