Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue in our forecast for Tuesday with little change in temperatures.  Meanwhile, a new tropical depression has formed in the Gulf.  This depression should become a tropical depression Tuesday with landfall near Tampico, Mexico early Wednesday.

Name released of man killed in Beaumont crash

BEAUMONT - Investigators believe icy road conditions and
a high rate of speed contributed to last night's crash that killed
24-year-old Robert Earl Bienemy of Beaumont.

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at around 8 p.m. last night in the 4500 hundred block of Highway 69 south of the Fannett Road overpass.

Investigators believe Bienemy was ejected from the vehicle after he lost control and hit a guard-rail.

Reports indicate he was not wearing a seatbelt.
