City of Beaumont offering place to recycle Christmas trees

While many people are celebrating New Year's Day, others are still dealing with leftovers from Christmas including the Christmas tree.

The City of Beaumont is offering a simple solution to dispose of your tree: recycle it.

Every year the city offers three drop off locations for live Christmas trees.

You can leave your tree at Rogers Park on Dowlen Road, Magnolia Park on Magnolia Avenue, or Sprott Park on Usan Street.

The program runs through Friday, January 10th. It's important to remove all decorations and the tree stand.

You can also place your tree by the curb and the city will pick it up on regular collection days. Do not bring your tree to the landfill.

The trees will be converted into mulch. If you want mulch for your yard drop by the landfill any Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. it's located at 4955 Laffin Road.
