A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures. In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area. A warming trend will begin early next week with a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms by the middle and later part of next week.
Auto theft down in region; Chevy full-size truck most popular stolen vehicle
SOUTHEAST TEXAS - Auto theft is down 5% in the region and the Chevrolet full-size truck remains the most popular stolen vehicle in the area, according to information released Tuesday by the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force.

Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties received a combined 804 auto theft reports in 2013 compared to 848 filed in 2012. Hardin County saw the largest drop of 36% while Jasper County auto thefts fell 15% compared to 2012.
