Woman now charged with stealing police car
BEAUMONT - KFDM News has learned a woman accused of stealing a Beaumont police car and briefly dragging an officer before a chase that ended with her crashing the unit, is now in jail on several charges.

Police tell KFDM News Carlee Galmore, 21, of Beaumont, is in jail and charged with Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer, Felony Theft and Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle.
Her bond is $75,000 on each charge for a total bond of $225,000
She was booked into jail shortly before 7 p.m. on Friday February 21.
Police tell KFDM News officers responded to a disturbance call Friday afternoon in the 1100 block of Fulton Street. The disturbance was between a woman and her 21 year old daughter.
Investigators say the daughter tried to enter the locked officer's car through a cracked window.
The woman got inside and dragged a female patrol officer who was trying to stop her. The officer was dragged a short distance and received minor injuries. She wasn't taken to a hospital.
The suspect sped away in the patrol car at 1:56 p.m. with other police in pursuit down Highway 69. The woman wrecked the patrol car at 2:03 p.m. near the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center. She received minor injuries. Paramedics transported her to a hospital where she was treated before officers transported her to jail.
