Langston Adams appointed interim judge of County Court at Law #3

A longtime attorney can now add a new title to his resume: judge.

Jefferson County commissioners have appointed Langston Adams interim judge of County Court at Law #3.

John Paul Davis held the job for more than two decades. Judge Davis died last week. He was not seeking reelection.

Commissioner Bo Alfred told KFDM News Judge Davis' family supports Adams as interim judge.

Adams is not running for the job. He will hold the position until voters make a final decision this fall.

Three Democrats and one Republican are running for County Court at Law #3. Early voting continues through this Friday. The primaries are next Tuesday, March 4th and the general election is in November.
