Hamshire-Fannett school district officials still not sure when elementary students will return to school

HAMSHIRE-FANNETT- The Hamshire-Fannett school district still isn't sure when elementary students will return to school following a devastating fire.

In a letter released by the district on Friday, officials say they are still evaluating the best options for short and long term for the students.

School is also canceled on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Administrators have called a community meeting for Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at Hamshire-Fannett High School.

The elementary school was badly damaged early on Tuesday, March 18, by a fire that the Labell Fannett fire chief believes started in the principal's office.

The investigation is on-going.
