A little better coverage of showers can be expected Wednesday as deeper moisture should move northward off the Gulf. The next cold front will be in our area Friday morning with scattered showers and thunderstorms rather likely Thursday evening into Friday. Cooler and drier air will take over this weekend.
Weather impacts voter turnout
It is election day and it appears the weather is causing the early voting period to take on added importance.
The cold, rain, and ice kept turnout low while KFDM News visited the Jefferson County courthouse Tuesday morning.
There are a number of local and state races on the Republican and Democratic party ballots and two people who did venture out to vote said the importance of casting a ballot should not take a backseat to the weather.
