Nederland hosting heritage festival

It's the time of year when we'll see a lot of festivals in Southeast Texas. This week Nederland is hosting the Heritage Festival. Organizers spent the day putting on final touches.

The festival is held right in heart of Nederland from Boston Avenue to the campus of Central Middle School.

This one has the reputation of being one of the best festivals in Southeast Texas and it's grown every year.

Festivities this year include a daily treasure hunt, petting zoo and lots of live entertainment.

Plus arts and crafts, rides and good food, it looks to be fun for the entire family. The Heritage Fest runs Tuesday through Sunday in Nederland.

The carnival will open tomorrow evening at 5 p.m. Parking and admission to the festival is free
