Man charged with a 2007 murder on trial

A man charged with a 2007 murder is finally on trial in Jefferson County.

Attorneys picked a jury late Monday afternoon in the trial of Christopher Robin. Testimony in his murder trial begins Tuesday morning in Judge Lindsey Scott's courtroom.

The defendant is charged with killing his roommate, Wayne Beavers, in November of 2007.

Police found the body of the 56 year old victim in his home on 12th Street in Port Neches.

Investigators say Robin beat and strangled his roommate. Officers found the victim on his bed.

If a jury convicts Robin of murder he could face up to life in prison.
