Beaumont shooting suspect identified; three killed, one wounded

BEAUMONT - Shooting suspect identified in Beaumont triple homicide.


Detectives have identified Joe Frederick Hawkins, 26-year-old Beaumont resident, as the suspect in this evenings triple homicide.
Hawkins was last seen driving a silver 2002 or 2003 Buick Century with Texas license plates DS4P770.  The vehicle has dark tinted windows and a missing rear passenger-side hubcap.
We believe that Hawkins is armed and dangerous.  If you see Hawkins or the vehicle he was last driving, please call the Beaumont Police Dispatch Center at 832-1234.

Subject:Three dead, one critically injured during a domestic disturbance

Beaumont Police Detectives are investigating a family disturbance that left three family members dead.  At about 4:07 pm this afternoon, Patrol Division Officers responded to a reported disturbance at a house in the 3700 block of S. Fourth Street.  When officers arrived, they found four gunshot victims in the yard of the residence.
Two of the people, a 33-year-old man and his 30-year-old sister, were deceased at the scene.
Two other people, a 34-year-old brother of the two deceased and a 21-year-old female acquaintance of the two deceased, were transported to St. Elizabeth ER for treatment of their gunshot wounds.  The brother that was transported eventually succumbed to his wounds and the female was listed in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and at this early point in the investigation, they feel that this incident was a disturbance between family members.
Detectives have identified a possible suspect and officers are in the process of attempting to locate him at this time.

FOX 4 News -- Three people are dead and one is in critical condition following a shooting at a Beaumont home.

Police say they responded to a disturbance call around 4 p.m. at a home in the 3700 block of S. Fourth Street in Beaumont where they found four gunshot victims outside the house.

Police say they believe the people knew each other. They are looking for the shooter.
