PAPD searches for driver who hit pedestrian

PORT ARTHUR - Police are asking for your help to find a driver of a car that struck a Port Arthur man before driving away.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West 14th Street.

Police say 30-year-old Kenneth Barnes was crossing the street when he was hit. He is in critical condition at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.

The vehicle is described as gray car, possibly a Chrysler 300 or Nissan Maxima.

Anyone with information is urged to call Port Arthur police at 983-8600.
