Just a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the next few days due mainly to daytime heating. A much better coverage of rain can be expected Thursday into Friday as a cold front moves in from the northwest. This front will bring us cooler and drier air over the weekend.
Three people transported after morning accident in Orange County
Three people were transported with non-life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash at about 6:30 a.m. on I-10 at the 858 mile marker in Orange County, according to Trooper Stephanie Davis.
The driver of a Chevrolet SUV was traveling east in the westbound traffic lane, Davis said.
Once the driver realized she was traveling the wrong way, she attempted to make a u-turn across three lanes of traffic and was struck by a Chevrolet pick up that was traveling westbound, Davis said.
The driver, 81 year old Lolita Dunaway-Key of Florida and her 80 year old passenger were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pick up truck was also transported to St. Elizabeth with minor injuries.
This crash is still under investigation at this time.
