Three people transported after morning accident in Orange County

Three people were transported with non-life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash at about 6:30 a.m. on I-10 at the 858 mile marker in Orange County, according to Trooper Stephanie Davis.

The driver of a Chevrolet SUV was traveling east in the westbound traffic lane, Davis said.

Once the driver realized she was traveling the wrong way, she attempted to make a u-turn across three lanes of traffic and was struck by a Chevrolet pick up that was traveling westbound, Davis said.

The driver, 81 year old Lolita Dunaway-Key of Florida and her 80 year old passenger were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the pick up truck was also transported to St. Elizabeth with minor injuries.

This crash is still under investigation at this time.
