Comments from Dr. Chargois, board members following meeting with TEA Commissioner

Comments from BISD Superintendent Dr. Timothy Chargois and several board members based on meetings with TEA Commissioner Michael Williams:

Dr. Timothy Chargois:

"I believe with the help of the agency, everyone coming together focusing our energy on our students, that we'll be able to get through this and deliver a sound product for our children which is a quality education."

"I'm here. The Board's still here, and we're going to move forward in terms of trying to correct those things that we can correct."

Tom Neild:

Told us that overall he's here to listen and to hear what the different opinions are.

"I agree with the findings that the TEA came up with. I agree with them and that's why we're here today."

"Let's get a resolve on this and move forward. This has been going on now for years and it's time it comes to a conclusion."

Zenobia Bush:

Overall here to listen and it depends on what questions the commissioner has.

"Moving forward, I would like to see the Board stay in place. I would like to see us try and mend some of the relationships that have been broken."

"My biggest emphasis would be on the fact that I think the board can take care of the business it needs to take care of and move this district forward."

Mike Neil:

"I want to make sure that he understands the entire board is not as upset as the board president made it out to be."
