Just a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the next few days due mainly to daytime heating.  A much better coverage of rain can be expected Thursday into Friday as a cold front moves in from the northwest.  This front will bring us cooler and drier air over the weekend.

Several hurt in shooting at FedEx warehouse near Atlanta; suspected gunman dead of self-inflicted wound

KENNESAW, Ga (AP) - Dozens of law enforcement officials have surrounded a FedEx warehouse near Atlanta after a suspected workplace shooting, according to reports. Investigators say several people were hurt and the suspected gunman is dead of a self-inflicted wound.

WellStar Kennestone Hospital told CBS affiliate WGCL in Atlanta they have received six patients from the shooting and are expecting more.

The conditions of the patients range from minor to those in surgery.

Police have evacuated the building and are looking for a shooter, WGCL reports. A police spokesman called the situation "active and fluid."

FedEx released the following statement:

"FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities."
