BPD respond to accident at Arlington and Phelan

Beaumont police and EMS responded to a traffic accident Tuesday at Arlington and Phelan.

A vehicle with a green light crossed the intersection and was hit by vehicle traveling eastbound on Phelan.

Two men and woman were in the vehicle that was struck. All three were transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. The driver that caused the collision was cited for running a red light, no drivers license and expired registration.

This is the seventh wreck at that intersection in last two years including one that killed an 80 year old man in July of 2013.
