More of what we experienced on Sunday is making a repeat performance today. Plenty of sunshine mixed in with a few high level clouds. Dry weather will stick around for most of the week with another upper level system returning for the later half of next weekend.
Two arrests made in connection with South China Road body
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has made two arrests and is looking for a third suspect in the discovery of a man's body on S. China Rd on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The suspects in custody are as follows:
Arthur Christopher Harmon, 21, of Beaumont, was arrested on the charge of murder and booked on a $1,000,000 bond.
Yiannis Nikolaos Mihail, 31, of Beaumont, was arrested on the charge of murder and booked on a $1,000,000 bond.
The wanted individual is 27-year-old Cody Jamar Lewis of Beaumont who is wanted on the charge of tampering with physical evidence.
The Sheriff's Office is awaiting confirmation of dental records in order to positively identify the victim, which should take place over the next several days. The investigation is on-going.
Mr. Lewis should be considered armed and dangerous. No attempt should be made to detain him. Anyone with information on his location should contact Crime Stoppers at 833-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Mr. Lewis or any other wanted fugitive.
