Security beefed up at West Orange Cove district following student's alarming remark

KFDM News - The superintendent of the west orange cove school district says he's beefed up security at the high school campus after a student made a threatening remark.

Superintendent James Colbert says two students got into a fight Tuesday morning during class.

The school disciplined both students and contacted their parents. As one student was leaving with his parents, he made some remarks that could be considered a threat, officials said.

Superintendent Colbert says the district sent parents a recorded phone message notifying them of the incident.
