Man and woman indicted in AT&T robbery in Beaumont
KFDM News - The Jefferson County grand jury indicted two people on charges of robbing the AT&T store on Dowlen Road.
Twenty-one year-old Jamail Wallace of Beaumont and 33-year-old Latashi Henry of Groves, who was an employee of the store, could face up to life in prison if convicted of first degree felony aggravated robbery.
In March, police arrested Wallace and Henry for the robbery, which occurred in February.
A gunman approached a clerk as she was opening the store at about 8:30 in the morning on Feb. 17.
The gunman pointed a gun at the clerk's head and forced the woman into a back room where other employees had locked themselves inside.
Investigators say he threatened to shoot the clerk if they didn't open the door.
Police say the gunman took a deposit off the table when he entered the room and made the manager open the safe and give him money.
