Memorial benefit for Vidor teen

VIDOR - A Vidor community came together to help the family of a 14-year-old girl, killed last year on the Neches River Bridge.

Investigators say Sierra Phillips walked into traffic on the Interstate-10 bridge in Orange County in November.

On Sunday, some residents in the community gathered at the V-F-W Hall in Vidor for a fundraiser to help the family.

The benefit included selling meals and other fun activities that the entire family could enjoy.

Sierra's family still has questions surrounding her death.
