Symphony of Southeast Texas director resigns

BEAUMONT, Texas - The Symphony of Southeast Texas (SOST) announces that Executive Director Craig Escamilla will resign his position effective May 31 to accept a position at Lamar University. A board search committee has been formed to find his replacement and encourages interested parties to visit for information and apply by April 25.
Escamilla joined the SOST staff in 2006 as director of communications and was promoted to executive director in 2007. He has agreed to assist in the transition to the new executive director through June if needed.
"I am incredibly proud to have been a part of the outstanding growth and success SOST has enjoyed over the last few years," said Escamilla. "Our orchestra is well poised to serve our community with outstanding performances for many years to come, and I look forward to enjoying those concerts as SOST's biggest fan!"
