Man sentenced in connection with 2013 crime spree
KFDM News has learned that a 29-year-old Port Arthur man was sentenced in connection with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, and two counts of aggravated robbery.
Domminique Adams got 45 years on each case which will be served concurrently.
Adams, along with two co-defendants, approached a couple sitting in their driveway at home while wearing masks and possessing firearms, according to a news release.
He was charged with robbing the couple and taking the woman into the house and sexually assaulting her, the release stated.
The woman was then forced to go with Adams to try and get money from an ATM while the man was held hostage, the release stated.
The woman escaped at a convenience store and police were notified.
Adams was seen on video from the store and when he was later found at his home he was still wearing the same clothes as in the video, the release stated.
He was also in possession of the woman's keys and told police where her vehicle was located, the release stated.
