Beaumont police looking for woman caught appearing to slap a baby numerous times

KFDM News - Beaumont police and child protective services are searching for a woman caught on cell phone video appearing to slap a baby.

Shari Pulliam with Child Protective Services says the video was recorded by a man who lives in the 1300 block of Liberty Street.

In the video, you can see the woman appearing to slap the baby numerous times while she yells obscenities and tells the child to shut up.

Pulliam says the man who recorded the video called police. Officers spoke to the homeowner, who says the woman is an acquaintance and that he wasn't home at the time.

Pulliam says that Child Protective Services is concerned because the baby appears to be very young.

Police are asking you to take a close look at the video, hoping you can help find the woman and child.
