Some more scattered showers today but drier and more stable air is pushing in from the northeast which should virtually eliminate the chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.  With more sunshine, temperatures will be warmer for afternoon highs by Sunday.

Rain covering much of KFDM viewing area; cooler weather on the way in mornings

SOUTHEAST TEXAS - Rain is covering much of the KFDM viewing area Tuesday morning with the heaviest downfalls in Tyler County.

It'll usher in a cool front that'll drop temperatures into the upper 50's to near 60 Wednesday and into the 40's for parts of the viewing area Thursday morning.

Watch KFDM News at noon, 5, 6 and 10 for the latest on the rain and the colder weather moving in.

No severe weather is reported.

At least two inches of rain had fallen Tuesday morning in areas near Woodville, Warren and Colmesneil in Tyler County.

The rain should begin tapering off by early afternoon.
