Orange County Sheriff's Office looking for man accused of impersonating police officer
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is looking for a driver after receiving a report that the male driver on I-10 E near the Neches River Bridge was believed to be impersonating a police officer.
A report was made to deputies that a 24-year-old Bridge City man was stopped by a person who, the reporting party believes, was impersonating a police officer, said Chief Deputy Clint Hodgkinson.
The incident reportedly occurred around 9 p.m. Friday on I-10 east in the area of the Neches River Bridge near the Orange County Line.
The man who reported the incident said the suspect is a heavy set, bald black male. The man was not wearing a uniform, had no badge or weapon, and did not identify himself or any agency affiliation, according to the reporting party.
The suspect was driving a dark colored SUV with flashing lights just above the visor, according to the man who made the report.
If anyone has any information on the crime or the suspect they can call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
