A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures. In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area. A warming trend will begin early next week with a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms by the middle and later part of next week.
Early voting results from PA City and school district elections
PORT ARTHUR - In early voting results from Port Arthur, incumbent councilman Raymond Scott, Junior is leading challenger Mike Mason in the District One race. Scott has 308 votes (54%) to Mason's 264 votes (46%)
In the District Two race, Tiffany Hamilton was ahead of Cal Jones and Maria Block. Hamilton had 124 votes (48%). Jones had 94 votes (37%). Block had 39 votes (15%).
In the District Four race, Stephen Mosely was ahead of Laura Miguez. Mosely had 387 votes (62%). Miguez had 241 votes (38%).
In the Position Seven race, incumbent Derrick Freeman was ahead of Reginald Trainer, Sr. Freeman had 1,071 votes (59%). Trainer had 755 votes (41%).
In the Position Eight race, Kaprina Frank was ahead of incumbent Kerry Thomas and another challenger, Lowra Reado-Harrison. Frank had 910 votes (50%). Thomas had 704 votes (39%). Reado-Harrison had 199 votes (11%).
In the Port Arthur school board race, incumbents Kenneth Lofton, Sr. and Thomas Kinlaw III were ahead of three challengers to win back their two seats. Kinlaw had 1,163 votes (40%). Lofton had 617 votes (21.11%). Debra Ambroise had 604 votes (20.66%). Anthony McDaniel had 413 votes (14%). Efrain Avendano had 126 votes (4%).
