A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures.  In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area.  A warming trend will begin early next week with a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms by the middle and later part of next week.

Hurricane season prediction

KFDM News - The government agency that makes predictions about Hurricane Season has made its annual educated guess, and it should make you feel pretty good.

But remember, it's still only a prediction, and it only takes one direct hit for SETX to have a bad year.

Forecasters with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predict a near normal or below normal hurricane season.

They predict eight to 13 named storms and three to six hurricanes with one to two of the predicted hurricanes expected to grow into major storms.
