Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Nursing home activity director arrested on drug related charge

The Silsbee Police Department has announced the arrest of a person suspected of selling drugs while working for a local nursing home. Stacey Rae Moore, a 41-year-old white female from Vidor, has been arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a 2nd-degree Felony offense.

Investigators received information that Moore, who is employed as the Activities Director with the Pine Arbor Nursing Home in Silsbee, was selling prescription medications to others in the parking lot of the nursing home during her workday.

On two separate occasions within the last ten days, Investigators allege that Moore sold the prescription drug Adderall to another person. Yesterday, Investigators conducted a sting operation and recorded Moore selling drugs while at work, in the parking lot of the nursing home. After the transaction was completed, Investigators took Moore into custody.

It should be noted that although Moore is employed by the nursing facility, the illegal drugs were brought to work by Moore and are not part of the nursing home's inventory of prescription medication. The nursing home is not implicated in this incident and the facility's administration has fully cooperated with law enforcement. It is apparent that the facility had no knowledge of Moore's criminal activities.

Moore was arraigned and she has been released after posting a $25,000 bond.
