Port Neches drowning victim identified

UPDATE: KFDM News has learned that the drowning victim in Port Neches was identified as 88-year-old Billy Roles.

KFDM News learned that the Port Neches Fire Department responded to the first drowning this year in Port Neches a little after 11:30 a.m. Friday.

They received a call about a person in a pool in the 3100 block of Gale Wood Lane in Port Neches.

When they arrived at the scene they found the home's resident, an 88-year-old man, who was in the pool.

They assisted with CPR but were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the scene by JP Brad Burnett.
