Fish fry today will help Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation

BEAUMONT - A fish fry Thursday will benefit a foundation that provides scholarships in honor of fallen Beaumont Police Officer Bryan Hebert.

The fish fry runs from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Performance Car Audio, 4055 Old Dowlen Road across from Walmart in Beaumont.

The cost is $10 per plate.

Officer Bryan Hebert was killed July 8, 2011 by a man who deliberately drove into him on Dowlen Road. 

The Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation awards scholarships for the cost of tuition for qualifying applicants seeking careers in law enforcement by attending the Lamar Institute of Technology's Regional Police Academy.
